-We can get the key idea that Democrats and Republican’s viewpoints are more divided over the 30-year time span through the distribution graphs quickly.
-The data-ink principle is followed closely. There are not irrelevant data illustrations in the visualization such as the vertical axis, and confusing numbers.
-Putting the two political population distribution on the same scale for political tendency is very creative and effective. The median white vertical lines indicate the fact that these are the population distribution.
-The colors of Republican and Democrat are used widely to show the distinction between the two party. The purple color is the result of blending these two colors, showing the parts of Republican and Democrat population having viewpoints towards more of the other side.
-The graph also enables us to make comparisons horizontally without effort.
